"Parfait séjour au calme”

Hôte très accueillante. Le gîte est très propre, bien équipé et situé sur un domaine magnifique et bien entretenu. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au calme.

Prachtige locatie, alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Bijzonder vriendelijke eigenaren. Je kan gebruik maken van een enorme en prachtige tuin.

Het is een huis voor 6 personen, er zijn zelfs 4 slaapkamertjes maar voor 6 volwassenen is het naar ons idee te klein.
Wij waren er met 2 personen.

Loved the unusual style of the apartment built into a cave, with the unusual artifacts. Great having use of a fridge microwave, kettle,plates and some cutlery. Lovely overnight stop on route to south west France. Host luc was very friendly and helpful!

"A memorable stay in a beautiful part of France.”

This is a very nice place to stay which is large, comfortable and 'quirky' – but very interesting with lots of space to relax and enjoy this unusual accommodation. The breakfast is supplied fresh each morning by Luc, a lovely guy who is very easy to talk to and very helpful with his knowledge of places to visit – especially Amboise a nearby town with amazing places to see.
We call this accommodation a "Trog – Delight" and would recommend it to family and friends.

"Great experience and very comfortable stay”

Since a long time we have had the idea to stay in a troglodyte around the lovely Loir valley on one of our travels to the Britanny coast. This time we did it and it was a great experience. Luc is a wonderful, helpful and courteous host, making us feel very comfortable right from our arrival in this atypical accommodation. The decor is arty cozy and provides any desired amenities in the same time. We enjoyed the surroundings and our night in the troglodyte loft. No doubt, we'll do it again…

"Superb”

The accommodation was excellent, everything we expected. We had the added bonus of being able to sample both apartments. A great amount of thought had gone into the décor, with beautiful pieces of art work. It was good to have outside space to eat. The smell of warm croissants. We went with previous reviewers recommendations for places to eat and were not disappointed.

We would have liked washing up facilities in the smaller apartment, going upstairs and using the basin was not ideal.

The breakfast was of the 'continental' type. There was a good selection of fresh cereals, pastries and fruit. There was also a plentiful supply of good coffee and other hot beverages.

I sometimes prefer a cooked breakfast, or other hot alternatives, but that's not an issue provided the quantity is sufficient. It certainly was during my stay.

"Wonderful stay”

This has been our favorite stay on our trip. The apartment is so wonderfully appointed with care and craftsmanship. We loved the outside patio. The owners have thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the solfège riddle on the stair railing!

We are on bikes and the climb up to the gite was a surprise, but it was well worth every pedal push. We wouldn’t have missed it!

We are a couple of cyclist doing the EV6. The facilities are new, extremely clean and very large. Has a great shower, washing machine and all the amenities. No need to go to a store as she can provide beverages and something simply for an evening meal. Breakfast was superb. Madame speaks perfect English and couldn't do enough to make sure we were comfortable. Best accomodations out of eighteen consecutive nights across France. A beautiful peaceful, quiet rest.

Super nice host and the house is amazing! We got a super nice dinner and had a super nice breakfast! We could even wash our dirty cloth in the washing machine and store our bicycles safely. Merci beacoup!

"Cozy place for a stop for your long haul travels”

We stayed here for one night as part of a long trip over Europe. It was very good for a family of 6 (2 adults, 2 teenagers, 2 toddlers). As a bonus there was a very nice mountain sunrise view in the morning.

Good sized apartment. Nicely appointed kitchen. Clothes washer provided and was very useful. Rear patio was nice with table/chairs for outdoor dining. We didnot read the policy/information prior to booking, later found out linens and towels are not provided but can be rented for additional charge. Somewhat removed from grocery store options, but host had a good stock of grocery type items (in a catalog) available for purchase. Bike storage was either on rear patio or inside.

Our fault for not reading the "fine print" regarding towels and linens not being provided, but available for additional charge.

Booking possible on a very short notice. Good bedrooms and batroom.

A sofa in living room should be cleaned or better replaced. Technic (TV ) should be cleaned..

The property had a terrace at the back as well as a spacious interior downstairs.

The bedrooms were upstairs but the bathroom and the separate toilet were downstairs. Everything in the kitchen-diner was bright red and quite oppressive. One bedroom had air conditioning but the other did not. Unusually, bed linen and towels were not included in the price and we had not spotted this in the advert. It was cheaper to buy these from a supermarket for our two nights than pay the price requested at the property.

It's just late overnight stay – overall OK.

First time in my quite long booking.com experience, during check out apartment was checked very precisely by owner – somehow don't think, that it's done for everyone, felt very strange …
Moreover – has been very strange to see dining table covered by transparent plastic film, we did not use it, but it wouldn’t be comfortable to have dinner like that. Looks like – apartment is more for owners than guests.
As it was booked via mobile, didn't see that towels and bed linen have not been included in price (it was solved nicely, but anyway).

The full house is well equipped (full kitchen, air conditioning, small garden in the rear side)
Dish washer + Washing machine.
Very clean, very quiet area.
Car parking facility.

Not that I did not like it because you can bring your own, but I must mention that bed sheets are for extra cost.
