"Unfortunately this hotel was rather too "budget" for us with no privacy, shower and sink in bedroom and no lock on toilet door.

Facilities were obviously limited because of Covid 19 but we had booked this hotel on the basis that there was a car park next door and we would be reimbursed the cost of the parking. On arrival we were advised this was no longer possible because of Covid 19 (although I cannot understand the connection!). If we had known this we would have booked a different hotel with free parking.

Very good location in the town centre, close to everything, good quality for the value, good communication with the owners. Even though we didn't meet them in person everything went smoothly.

It would be nice to have towels and at least some coffee and tea available in the room. As we travelled as colleagues two duvets would be more comfortable than just one. Owners don't speak English.

I have lived in the middle floor room several times before. This time the owner rented me the ground floor room. Its low quality was incomparable to the previous room for the above reasons.

Alors après mon séjour, le proprio m’envoie un message en me disant qu’il a constaté de l’urine sur le linge, chose dont je doute fort. Il m’envoie des photos non datées, floues, et veut que je paie pour les frais de pressing. Qu’est-ce qui prouve que cette tâche n’était pas là avant moi ? M’a-t-il envoyé des photos avant mon séjour? Non. Et il m’accuse de quelque que j’ai pas faite. Et si même je l’avais fait, chaque client est facturé 35€ de frais de ménage et de linge de lit, en plus des frais de séjour. Il pouvait les utiliser pour les nettoyer Si tel était réellement le cas. Sinon me dire de payer des frais supplémentaires, pour moi cela s’apparente à de l’escroquerie et rien d’autre. Merci

Parking compliqué en centre ville car limite à 1H45 /jour, ensuite parking sous terrain mais à 5 mn à pied donc ça va encore..

The host was very lovely, made us a generous delicious breakfast with homemade banana bread and freshly squeezed orange juice, among other tasty local things. Everything was super clean, and tastefully decorated with boho/farmhouse/industrial elements. The view from the room is great, overlooking a large green field where you hear birds singing. A really please experience in a quiet location. I would highly recommend.

La Gouronerie provides beautiful accommodation, impeccably clean and very tastefully decorated. I don’t know what the host, Sandrine, uses in her wash, but the bedding and towels smell devine. Sandrine is incredibly friendly and provides an amazing breakfast, candlelit with soft background music; the most perfect start to the day. We will definitely be back and would actually take a serious detour on our travels north or south through France to make sure that’s possible. And by the way, Sandrine gave us some cake to help us on our way, which was homemade, delicious and devoured with coffee on route to Calais! What a gem.

"A stay that we will never forget

We loved everything about La Gouronerie and if we could have rated it 12 out of 10 we would!! From the second we arrived and the welcome by Sandrine and her daughter to the point at which we had to leave….it was an absolute delight. The room was immaculate, spacious, beautifully decorated with all the bits and pieces that you need…and more. The pool looked stunning but we arrived too late unfortunately, to enjoy a swim… note to self for our next visit!! As for the breakfast, the table was laid out in the most beautiful kitchen I have ever seen, with relaxing music and candles on the table, with a spread that would cater for anybody’s taste…..the custard flan was amazing!! Don’t change a thing and we’ll be back!

It was a shame the WiFi didn't seem to work in our room. But everything else was perfect!

Free parking, big and clea rooms.

One of the rooms has not TV but in our booking write both rooms are with TV. But the worst was the toilette from our room, a toilette without roof so any noise and any smell from WC was like inside room. The owner was not very friendly with us. I asked for an egg at breakfast and she give me an egg in my hand, not cooked !! Why ??
And one room has not a door to outside so we must enter in my friends room to go outside.

"Outstanding stay in a small town in the countryside.

Old farmhouse from the 18th century in a small village (silence guaranteed!) with ample parking space in the walled front. Very spacious room with similar bathroom and a view of both the courtyard at the front and the garden with swimming pool at the back and the meadows behind it.
The room was equipped with a refrigerator that quickly reached low temperatures.
I was offered a Belgian craft beer on the house and a delicious salad was prepared for dinner with a nice glass of red wine. Excellent breakfast with a very wide choice in a huge kitchen.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans cette chambre spacieuse très confortable, propre et décorée avec goût, avec un accès extérieur privatif et piscine (quand la saison le permet).
Notre hôte Sandrine est chaleureuse et à l'écoute de nos besoin. Son accueil à été parfait et son petit déjeuné est délicieux.

The owners were very welcoming and very nice. The place is absolutely lovely with everything you need. The pool is quite big.

Bed was clean. Bathroom is clean.

It is a shed in someone's back garden. No privacy. No curtains. Looks out on home owner's bins. Not at all like description. Private entrance is not real it is literally the main entrance into the household. Boiling hot with no curtains to screen out sun or home owner's children playing around. Area is semi rural next to a building site. Pool is overgrown and full of discarded toys. Back yard is strewn with discarded items.

I don't mind if people are honest in description and explain what the issues are – I expect the price to reflect this. Then I can feel okay because I chose it. But this description is deliberately misleading. I don't know who left the glowing reviews but I find them questionable. I have taken many photos. Judge for yourself.

Weirdly the bedside lamps in the room have coloured lights. So you can't really read by the bed.

I had a shower. Water was hot. Shower clean. But the shower head does not stay up. You have to hand hold it.

Tout était très bien, appartement super bien équipé entièrement indépendant, très bien situé, au calme, les hôtes accueillants, gentils et discrets.
La literie est ferme, pour des nuits sans soucis. La région est superbe, plein de choses à faire, à voir, il n'y a pas que le Futuroscope à Poitiers. Les hôtes sauront vous aiguiller.

Très bel appartement spacieux , calme. Tout est pensé, il ne manque rien , on se sent chez soi ! Petite table dans le jardin avec parasol , pour profiter des soirées. Situé à proximité du Creps et de Poitiers. Je recommande vivement !

La literie. Moisissure salle de bain. Bruits des voisins dû à l'insonorisation entre les 2 logements (bruits des WC, douche des voisins), velux se ferme et s'ouvre tout seul la nuit. Pour ce prix on s'attendait à mieux. Très petit pour 5 personnes, table instable. Manque de vaisselle et d'intimité.
