"beautiful house in beautiful village”

great location, comfy bed, travel cot and high chair, plenty’s of glasses, plates etc so very well stocked! also lovely little restaurant in the town square, lots of little wineries in village in walking distance, and pizza van in nearby car bark on Friday night was nice surprise.

For us the ladder stairway to the bedrooms was not suitable as we are in our late 70,s but our Granddaughter of 6 lived it.

Very quiet perfectly situated apartment. Tastefully decorated. Very peaceful. Good as a base to tour the area. Hired electric bikes from a hotel closeby, nice coffees in the cafe.

The sofa has seen better days and needs replacing as is quite uncomfortable. The little sitting out area was a bit scruffy and could do with some tlc.

This is a functional but transactional and neither inexpensive nor particularly charming property in a good location for exploring Champagne country by car.

Pleasant stay. We were greeted properly and shown to our room personally by the receptionist who spoke good English. The room was quite small for a 2 night stay. No hotel information in the room.
On the first night we had booked a meal in the hotel restaurant. We chose the menu at c53 Euros. The food was excellent, though I thought somewhat overpriced. A bottle of Chablis cost a further 35 Euros. Had the menu been 10 Euros less, we may well have used the restaurant the 2nd night also, but instead went in search of better value food in Epernay. It did not take us long to find a similar quality meal for 35 Euros.
Breakfast was good.

Danielle us a great host with some wonderfull tips. We loved the cottage, it is very clean and comfirtable, wonderfully restored while preserving the old elements. It was a great place to stay in!

Great place in a beautiful location in the centre of the village – surrounded by champagne houses and fields. The host was exceptionally friendly and accommodation and the place itself was fantastic! Very spacious and clean and we had everything we needed. Perfect for staying with a couple of friends.

One of the rare occasions when the reality exceeds the pictures. The space, the light, the beauty of the details and wooden elements, spotlessly clean – we could not have chosen a better place for our family getaway. Mrs Daniele is very communicative and made us feel so welcome. She thinks of everything – you will not be missing the little yet important things like coffee, water, juice for the children.. and of course neither the bedclothes and towels. Warmly recommended.

What an absolute treat that the proprietor uses a translation app to make checking in so easy. Brilliant!
Not to mention, the place is stunning and so comfortable. Who recommend to all for a lovely stay!

The village is a bit isolated, the restaurants nearby are closed in August and also the boulanger is closed. You must drive to Epernay to find food.

the two rooms are not seperate. there is no door or division. so there is no privacy. we were travelling with friends. so that was not very practical. you have to go trough the other room to go out or to the toilet…

Prachtig, ruim appartement. Veel leuke details in het appartement, zoals bijvoorbeeld een kapstok van champagneflessen. Goede suggesties van hostess voor activiteiten in de omgeving. Zeer geschikt als uitvalsbasis voor het verkennen van Epernay en omgeving.

"Great apartment and location :)”

Great location, lots of character, stylish designed interior and very clean. Fantastic air conditioner system 🙂

The sofa for our children did not have sheets, there was confusion with how many people were staying. We did pay for 4 people and I double checked when the reservation came back as 2 adults only. Could also not find the code for the Wi-Fi it was late so did not want to contact the owners. Overall though great apartment

"If the owner wants to do the things better, I recommend to visit Au 1894 Grand Cru in Avize”

It did not fullfiled our expectation according the price charged. If you have children, it is very danger for them, because from the wood line on the floor were needles stretching our from the wood. When we arrived the shower pipe line was half broken. We immediatelly annouced to the owner, but it was not fixed it till our departure. In toilet and shower 3 lights from 5 did not work, in living room did not work 4 lights from 10. There was induction stowe and they are many new pots for cooking, but only 1 was working with the inductions stowe. Outside was relax area, but full of ashtray from previous guest and very bad small after raining, so we could not use it. Owner did not care about during whole our stay. Mainly that the owner charge 50 EUR for cleaning… During our arrival was the horror to find parking place, after 1 hour we found a place, faraway from accomodation and other days were not too much better.

Charming location at the heart of Hautvillers village. Spacious, also, and very clean. Modern kitchen. Sympathetic host. But next time in Hautvillers, I'll look something with a view as the village is among the most breathtaking villages in Champagne.

The showering facilities could've been better. Also closing the door (entrance) was pretty complicated even though the owner had "warned" me about it.

Location Clear instructions were given on how to check in.

Frig was unplugged on arrival, WiFi sporadic. We’re a mature couple and photos of the stairs would have influenced our choice. The listing did show there were stairs but wow.

The location is outstanding; Hautvillers is the perfect place for exploring the Champagne region and the property is located very centrally within the village. The property has all the facilities you might need for your stay. The bed is comfortable. We would gladly stay here again.

The property could be more charming; the decoration and furniture are a bit sparse and cheap. With some more love and attention, the property could really be turned into something spectacular.

One roll of toilet paper isn't much for a long-ish stay.

When your host meets you with perfectly working translation app, you can be sure that everything will be just perfect, because of not only the professionalism, but the emphaty of the host.

And it was:
– The street parking was reserved for us
– The kitchenette is well equipped for whatever tasks and even coffee, tea, olive oil and vinegar were provided. There were also butter, jam, water and apple juice for our kid in the fridge.
– the apartment is quite spacious with a bedroom and a sofa bed in the living/kitchenette area and closet. The separate toilet helps when travel with children.

In total, it's a very good location either for the stopover, or for the exploring the region.

We were greeted by the host and given a little tour around the apartment. She was very friendly and helpful.
The interior was beautiful and had everything we needed. The sheets were ready on the beds and there was even complimentary butter and homemade jam in the fridge, along with a bottle of champagne that you could buy if you were to consume it. The host was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome.

This was a perfect place to explore Hautvillers. Danièle is an extremely attentive pleasant host.

Future guests be aware that there are no convenience stores/ épiceries in Hautvillers. There’s a bakery at the top of the street and a cafe/ pub across the street ( no food items) So buy your provisions in Epernay before arriving. However there’s lots of Champagne to enjoy and Danièle has some in the fridge upon your arrival.
no bus service but taxi from Epernay will come out to get you

"Fab little apartment right in the heart of Hautvillers”

This is our second stay here. The location is fabulous. The facilities are very good. Free parking right outside is a real bonus. The owner is very helpful and responsive to any questions.

Great property which was very clean and well maintained and very friendly host. Town famous for champagne and many champagne houses doing tastings. Fabulous views.

Not many facilities in the town (no restaurants or supermarket) and parking was ok but on a narrow street and not much room if you wanted to park outside the property. Nearby decent sized free car park with big spaces.

This property is lovely.
The host Dani is very thoughtful with the design of the place, the cutlery/crockery, complimentary water/jam. The most excellent champagne suggestion Phillipe Mallet.
Her husband is a DIY genius and has helped design the Accomodation to perfection.

Everything is really good.
But a washing machine would make this place almost perfect.
