staff are super friendly and helpful, location is handy for one of the best buffet/grill restaurants I have been to. But it is near a busy road so light sleepers be warned!

Einige Menschen benehmen sich in Hotels als würden sie zu Hause sein. Mit ihren knappen Kleidungen, bzw. gar keiner Kleidung durch das Hotel zu gehen ist inakzeptabel! Unmöglich!

Very affordable and worth it. Parking on site, 8-10 minute drive to little Venice and city area. Usually great breakfast but due to covid, it gets delivered to your room. The front desk lady makes you feel so welcome. Only thing is should have another towel for a second person as booking for 2 ppl. Highly recommend.

In summary
– Extremely rude hotel staff. We arrived at the hotel just before to check in and were greeted with the manager running to the door telling us we can’t come in till check in time. His tone was aggressive and nasty. We explained we knew we were slightly early and that we didn’t expect to be able to check in right away. We asked if we could leave our bags. They said yes and walked off without taking our bags or telling us where to leave them. They had several staff in the hotel, with none of them doing anything. The manager was just pure weird.
We later went down to explain that our room was far too hot and ask if they had any advice on how to cool the room. They said it was tough, and there was nothing that could be done. We asked if they had any fans, they replied “non. Equally as abrupt and rude as the manager we encountered earlier.
We reached out to agoda about our issue, to be told the hotel had refused to respond them, not that this came as any surprise.

– Cleanliness. We went to use the lift from our floor, to the main reception, only to be joined by a delightfully odorous bin bag that had the pleasure of riding the lift for the morning. On exit to the lift, we were then met with a barricade of further bin bags cleaning bottles of which we had to leap over. We assumed the cleaner must have been busy, or waylaid… only to see her sat on a chair within the doorframe of the emergency exit, smoking away.

-Plug sockets – there were only 2 plug sockets within our room…both of which were hanging out of the wall and not fit for purpose…even the hotels hair dryer had to be noticeably forced and held into the socket to work.

-On a positive note, you do receive a complimentary tea or coffee on arrival…which I suggest you savour as you won’t find a kettle or any form of supplies in your room.

For a single young girl who likes to travel and feel safe and clean, this was perfect, affordable, lovely friendly staff, nice cheap breakfast (pastries, eggs, coffee, fruit), clean warm spacious bedroom, quick drive to main area of Little Venice, safe area, parking on site. Would stay here again.

We were in December to see the xmas market, It is outside of the city but in front of the bus station and the navette, so it is ok. The bed is confortable and the breakfast is so good, I would have liked to find more things in the bath, like another towel for hands, hair dryer, shower gels, hand soap

Obwohl die Buchung inklusive Steuern erfolgte, wurden vor Ort Steuern berechnet.
Das Zimmer war nicht besonders sauber.
Es gab nur ein Handtuch pro Person.
Das Frühstück ist extrem reduziert.

No staff on site. We arrived late in the day, around 9 PM. We were informed that the restaurant staff had gone as "we eat early in Alsace"!
The restaurant facility was the reason for choosing the hotel over others as we had a long car journey. We were handed the key and the receptionist promptly left, the place plunged into darkness due to motion sensing lights.
Not so much as a vending machine for a drink. Air conditioning not working.
Had a better stay at a cheap hotel.

The Ace hotel in Bourges is a very nice hotel for a travellers stopover. The rooms are a nice practical size, spotlessly clean and with a very comfortable bed.
The toilet and shower are spotless and well presented.
Tea/coffee making facilities would be welcome but we understand that some people steal these items. If they are installed visitors should told that if they steal them a replacement surcharge will be charged to their credit card.
We highly recommended the Ace hotel, much better standard than the nearby Premier (not very clean and poor breakfast) or the Kyriad with its small rooms and oversize beds.

2 Picture missing over bed – just hooks and patch on wall.
3 Shower room floor was dusty/ dirty.
4 Basin tap missing lever to operate waste
5 Bedside lamp wall switches – only 1 of worked.
6 Pillows not worth using – fortunately I always bring my own.
7 Could here person in room next door using electric razor.
8 Crazy wedding going off in building next door until 2am and letting off fireworks.
9 Huge 12m lorry parked across last few parking spaces so no room to park easily.

"Read hotel description and details and avoid surprises, what you read is what you get

After reading various reviews, we knew more or less what to expect so no surprises there. Amongst the things we liked about this hotel is the friendliness of the staff, the two gentleman that run the hotel are pleasant and helpful. The hotel really sticks to the checking times! so be mindful of your arrival, no late check in's if you arrive after 9pm. Room was clean, radiator worked very well, windows do open, hot / cold water run well, decent towels supplies (2 people), basic mini soap bars and shampoo/soap combined mini pack, paper cups and 2 toilet papers. Premises are kept clean, location of the hotel to center of town convenient about 20m via bus (be mindful of first and last bus out to/from designated close-by bus stop times schedule) otherwise you will have to walk 30m to nearest next bus stop, or wait for an Uber availability, quite long in my opinion. Cost to town in Uber was 21 Euros, Cost in Bolt 17 euros, may vary of time of day or season). Fair communication from the hotel if questions are sent via Booking.com. Price of per night was moderate considering the area and distance to town. Our room was switched from a large single bed room to a three single beds and wouldn't be switched or accommodated as per hotels note is within their disclaimer. My husband and I just had to sleep in separate beds, mattress are worn out and made a lot of noise when turning. We would stay in this hotel if there are no other options available as we already know how it operates and we felt safe. You are given an old fashion key to access your room. The check in is old school manual via handwritten note and invoice, no computerized check in.

Although there was a breakfast option (self paid) it is limited to a single croissant per person and several other slices of dry bread. One glass of orange juice, coffee/tea/hot chocolate option, limited cereal and plain yogurt options available, one type of fruit (mandarins in our case). No additional croissants given as they only order for the amount of guests signed to get breakfast on the day. If you are lucky (which we weren't maybe a guest doesn't show up for breakfast and you can get that croissant but you will have to be the last one in the dinning room to get it.) Breakfast is from 7:30-9:30 so be on time (10 euros per person). Be mindful of the bus schedules as if coming back to the hotel after last bus (about 5:30pm) you will have to walk from the closest bus last stop, 30m or so. Wouldn't recommended even if you don't mind the walk, but at night and no sidewalk, it's a busy dark road and you will need reflector gear so drivers can see you to avoid being hit by a car. May be different in summer time but since we went in December, that's our experience. Hotel is no frills so don't expect much comfort or convenience. My recommendation would be for the hotel to at least offer filtered water station or jar, or even run a water vending machine. We asked for water at breakfast and basically was from the tap to the table, no filtration system so be mindful to get your own bottled water. The hotel can use additional option for snacks vending machine and also make a little profit and guests convenience. Don't expect too much room in the bathroom, tight shower and very close to the toilet so you have to angle yourself right LOL. The hotel is closed to the main road so expect car traveling noises though out the night, if you are a lite sleeper bring earplugs and eye mask for headlights lighting up your room.

Location is very good for Colmar and for the surrounding area-easy to find on the outskirts of the town, with easy access to the town centre, and a nice large car park.
Staff very helpful. Room was quite a tight fit, but manageable. Good breakfast.
