Second time here, this time everything as expected, up to the level.

When we got the normal room for second night everything was quite nice.

For the first night we were provided not the room we booked, it wasn’t that important actually, but the provided room was with nailed window, so it wasn’t possible to open it and as the was no conditioning (as mentioned in description, so that’s fine) so it wasn’t comfortable at all – no possibility of any fresh air.

The bed was confortable and I had the chance to be alone in the room. Room temperature was perfect for me. It's near the bus station. The staff was nice and I felt very confortable in this hostel. I stayed only one night but the garden seems pretty and I enjoyed the breakfast as well.

There are lockers under bed but no possibility to use it as I didn't have the key. Peoples were noisy even after 10pm (this is a message to people staying in hostel: stop thinking you are alone in the building!). The bathroom smell strange to me.

The hostel isn't absolutely clean!! The bathroom doesn't have soap or toilet papers! In addition, the dorm doesn't have a locker! It was completely a bad experience in this hostel! Moreover, the receptionist asked me for an extra 2.50€ as a city tax per night and it should be only 0.50€, when I made a complaint on booking they couldn't solve this issue, which was totally surprising!!

Its a huge building with a garden an some common areas. A bit outside the city. Breakfast was good, but could be better (see below). Kitchen has everything you need: a clean fridge, oven, pans, plates, knives, etc.

Some vegan options would be nice for the breakfast, for example: oat milk, peanut butter, vegan spread, etc…
During my stay some sanitaries didnt work: some showers only had hot water and a few toilettes didnt worked. Also it was not super dirty, but in some corners trash stayed for a few days.
Price was to high.

We really enjoined our staying in the Résidence services seniors les boréales. It is a quiet place in a quiet neighbour. The apartment is clean, spacious and fully equipped. The dinner and breakfast were super! And above all – the team at the reception and at the dining room was so friendly and welcoming (Thank you!). Bottom line – it exceeded our expectations. Absolutely recommended!

The apartment is very comfortable for a short stay with plenty of room. The breakfast was good, and it's an easy walk to the tram station if you'd like to go to the historic part of the city without driving there yourself. This was a last-minute booking for us as our original hotel reservation in the historic district was cancelled for Covid reasons at the last minute.

There was no AC, which wouldn't have been a problem if it weren't so hot outside! The windows opened onto a brightly lit parking garage. We had sleeping masks, so this wasn't a problem for us, but without the masks it would have been hard to sleep.

"It was a place to sleep and get cleaned up, friendly staff and it did us for one night but I don’t think I’d go back.

Great secure underground parking, had a restaurant and bar but we didn’t use any of them. Bed was comfortable and a basic petite déjeuner supplied in the restaurant.

Certainly not in the best part of town, 30 minute walk to old town Rouen, but that was our mistake for not really checking it out. Room was clean but fairly basic, bathroom had that odour of lack of use. No wi-fi available to the rooms, only in the bar and reception. We were only passing through for one night and it served our purposes.

Need to stop in street to check in and pick up keys for underground carpark. Large deposit of E150 expected for room. Carpark spaces are tight.

The room was a good size and it was very clean. It was good to have a balcony for some personal outdoor space. Parking was secure and onsite, although an extra charge is made for this which I think is unnecessary.

The area in which the property is located isn't very nice. The room facilities are very basic and sparce. The bed was very hard and the pillow like trying to lie on a rock. Reception was supposed to be open at 8:00 am, but we had to wait until 8:35 am and ask another member of staff a number of times to get someone to attend to our check-out; not good enough when you have an onward journey and a tunnel crossing to meet.

The room was very clean and the apartment was a good sized living space with kitchen. The residence was very quite although the residence in a busy neighborhood close to bus stops and the metro. The check in was fairly easy and the staff very very helpful although only a little english is spoken and the car park is very secure. The fact that 'guests' and older residents mix together in the restaurant and communal areas makes this something different from other hotels. Liked the pool and sauna which are included in the room rate and when I was there I had the pool and sauna to myself.

The underground car park is accessed via a key fob activated electric shutter however until you check in you have to park on the street outside the residence and take a risk that you could get a ticket as only 'payant' bays are available in the street outside.

Lots of parking up and down the road in front of the property. Nice hot shower etc. We wanted a nice easy pit stop on our travels for the night on a budget.

Nothing. No security, disgusting dirty apartment. Not enough crockery, cutlery for 2 people. Dirty bed, memory foam mattress has gone. Mold and dirty place. Tried to report this to the owner, she just confirmed the security number then put the phone down. No welcome from the hosts even though they were in the house next door. Which we did not know until the next day when i raised my refund request. Which she has agued about and refuses to give any refund. They should be ashamed taking money of people to just have a roof over your head. No sleep, no relax, as no way of securing the apartment. Then, at 11.30 at night the owner has a shower, and the boiler is in the apartment bedroom, and it sounds like water is running into the bedroom. Terrible way to treat guests.

Établissement tout bonnement répugnant. Aucun nettoyage fait depuis minimum 15jours, le journal laisser en témoigne. Des toiles d’araignées, aux cheveux et mouchoirs trouvées dans la tête de lit dans la salle de bain, de la poussière et de l’hygiène douteuse des draps dans lesquels nous n’avons pu nous résoudre à dormir. Au canapé soit disant convertible ne correspondant pas à celui de l’image , remplacer par un capané dont le cuire déchirer tient par je ne sais quel miracle et est recouvert à moitié de tissus. Prise sortie du mur. Je le répète à fuir.
Qui plus ai propriétaire désagréable qui n’en a rien à foutre et semble même habituée et en accord avec cette abomination. Ne souhaite pas établir de compromis ni de compensation. N’y mettez jamais un pied.

Beautiful chateau, well maintained, warm, comfortable, and welcoming. Nicolas was a caring host and sorted out our dinner. The bed was large and comfortable and the gardens were stunning.

"We enjoyed the quietness in this beautifull chateau and its surroundings.

We stayed here late October. You'll find B&B Chateau on a wonderfull location. And it is quiet, very quiet. The chateau and park/garden are very well maintained and beautifull to wander in. We also checked out their cabin/lodge with views over the valley and could really recommend a stay there to families with children. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. In the surroundings of the chateau Evreux is worth multiple visits and Rouen is quite nearby using the autoroutes. At the chateau the outside pool was 29° and worth a dip. And o yeah, the beds are excellent. When we visit Normandy again we will surely make another stopover at Chateau Boulay Morin

I have stayed in many castles in Scotland, Ireland, France, but I have never met something like this: a castle with a beautiful history uninspired restored: an uninspired melange of French and Thai design; what a shame! Old furniture with dirty tapestry. broken…next to an elephant made of Thai porcelain… bathrooms with tasteless tiles, which have nothing to do with a castle… in short: it is a maximum 3* B&B (it has nothing to do with a 5* accommodation with a score of 9.9 out of 900 reviews ??)

"Some fine tuning and tweaks to be done but worthy of watching the space and taking a stay.

I liked the thought of staying in a 5* chateau. Plenty of space and privacy. Tranquil location but close enough for Rouen. Be patient and warned though this is a work in progress. The owner and family are very friendly and could not fault them or their personality. Lovely people. We were upgraded to a higher standard of room. They like and want the feedback to help progress forwards so do speak to them. Breakfast was very good too.

…but it is not a 5* château as advertised. Certainly not 5* that I and probably many are used to. We travel a fair bit and stayed in many 4* and 5* but this does not cut the mustard. However I am fair to state this is work in progress and much polishing needs to be done. I would stay again but in a little time to allow them to finish or fine tune their brand. Surface it looks clean, towels are like sandpaper and could do with replacing. Shower was cold to tepid (if let run), some electrics sockets were dangerously loose, kettle leaking, all were mentioned and no doubt being investigated. Breakfast although lovely and could not help feel that he dining and kitchen area gives a feel of hostel rather than 5* hotel experience. No evening restaurant so had Thai takeaway delivered … not great over cooked chicken so find somewhere before you arrive or arrange to go out out. I expect 5* to be unformed in dress code and staff not to be playing playstation in communal reception area. Unless the idea is to invite to be an extension of the owners home to be the appeal and not a 5* hotel as proposed. Sort the identify and a few loose ends. The son was introduced to us who was playing on the playstation and was pleasant but not uniformly dressed for a 5* location as advertised. The fact that the owner on his last day asked me to do him "a favour" because the account manager said his ratings are down and if I were to provide a 10 start rating then he could obtain his €30,000 advertising payment from Booking.com is somewhat unprofessional to say the least. He didn't mention that in his reply! What I write is true and reflective of our experience. Pleasant people but not 5*.

Fabulous chateau! Amazing grounds which the kids loved – pool, table tennis, tennis, football and more! Stayed in the amazing wooden hut in the woods on the grounds (rather than the chateau). Hut was compact with everything you need including a hot tub. The views were lovely and it was very peaceful.

The apartment was stunning. Modern and spacious. It was very impressive. Three TVs. Fab kitchen. The balcony was lovely – just perfect for eating an evening meal. Lots of nice touches too, like breakfast offerings, hot chocolate, etc. The bedrooms we're perfect and the sofa bed was comfy. Very little to complain about.

Although it was only a short walk to and from Rouen, the walk to the Centre and back didn't feel overly safe. This is not the apartments fault of course and the apartment itself was very secure.

Stunning apartment. Exactly like the pictures. Air con units put in during heat wave. Parking is totally safe and enclosed. Straight 1 mile walk into Rouen to cathedral. Boulangerie over the road. Love the private Court yard, the shower…. The space and the very large comfortable bed settee. Absolutely superb.

Lovely apartment stayed here on route to the vendee for a night. Lovely clean and spacious for family.

It was a little hard to find, but it was because the parking courtyard was hiding behind a door which didn’t look like it would open. There are instructions to explain this though. And this is to be expected in an urban area.

Clean and spacious appartment. We stayed here for one night while on our way to our holiday destination. Private parking behind the building (and behind a closed fence) was nice and allowed us to leave most of our luggage in the car. About 15 to 20 minutes walk to the city centre.

When walking through the neighbourhood on our way to the city centre we noticed a lot of drunk and intoxicated persons. The direct surroundings of the appartment are not very impressive. However, once in the city centre we were positively surprised by the beautiful architecture and vibrant street life.

It was clean, comfortable and had everything we wanted. It was a fair walk across the river to good bars/restaurants and attractions. The bars/restaurants (that we found) close to appartement were rather dodgy.
The outdoor space was lovely, beds comfortable.
The parking was good, once we had managed the access.

The WiFi was terrible. We managed a signal in one of the bedrooms but even that dropped out frequently. The outdoor stairs were maybe unsuitable for the elderly/infirm.
We tried to approach by car along rue d’Elboef to turn left into the entrance but our satnav took us through one way back streets and we approached from the wrong direction. A map, diagram showing the one way streets would have been helpful.
The shower worked well but water from the jets did escape all over the end wall and bathroom floor.
We wanted to turn off the bathroom fan but were unable to do so, so it ran constantly.

The property charged me a deposit of 600 euro in advance. It is the first time when I have to do this. Also, they would charge me 50 euro if I didn't clean apartments myself.

I was promised to have two single-beds and one big bed. Instead, they had two big beds, which is different from their description.

Moreover, the key box code was about 12 digits, I was barely able to input that coming late at night.

Size of the apartment was good.

The property had metal coverings on all the windows – it felt unsafe. The location wasn't great period. It felt somewhat unsafe with kids. The portable ACs did not work well. I wanted to keep the windows open all night but was afraid people might stroll in so I kept it closed. There was a washer but no dryer so not worth using since we only stayed 1 night. We paid for 3 nights but left after 1 night because it was so uncomfortable.

We like everything about the property. Maybe a bit far from all amenities in old town. But that’s nothing to do with property. So all good!

"Very comfortable overnight stay

Very clear instructions were given on how to get there and access the property. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Location-wise, it is very close to the lovely botanical gardens which is great with kids. Also 5mn walk from a big supermarket. The city center is a little further away but for an overnight stay on our way to the Netherlands, it was perfect.

Bins were provided for 3 types of recycling but there was no bin or bin bags for non-recyclable things like baby diapers. There were however large containers just downstairs of the apartment so we made use of those.
