"A lovely historic boutique hotel right on the beach. Spring for a room overlooking the ocean!

This historic hotel is at a great spot right on the corniche along the beach. We took a room overlooking the beach/water and it was wonderful. Varied buffet breakfast but with only scrambled eggs as an option; we felt it a bit overpriced at 19 Euros pp. Others might differ. The staff was extremely accommodating, and they provide valet parking at an additional fee with unlimited in/out access.

The internet access in our first floor room was very poor. This should be relatively easy for them to fix and was the only negative about this hotel.

It was an amazing stay right on the beachfront, with impeccable service from the hotel stuff. The breakfast was rich, and it was served in a breakfast hall with a beautiful sea view. The room was spacious, with enormous bed, a bath, a lovely balcony facing the beach. I enjoyed the stay a lot, and if I'm visiting Saint-Jean-de-Luz again, I'll definitely stay again in the dame hotel.

Honestly, nothing to complain about.

"A Quaint Basque Coast Getaway

Breakfast was excellent! Good food and great view for breakfast. Located right on the waterfront. We loved the ocean view from our room but definitely going to get a room with a terrace balcony next time! The valet parking was great as well. Very friendly staff.

in the breakfast lobby I would arrange the seating for both seats to face the view. It seemed that everyone sitting there would move their chairs in that direction anyways.

Beautiful charming small hotel. Fantastic location, just steps to the beach. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The garden in the back is a wonderful refuge. We stayed for a week and will return whenever we come back to Saint Jean De Luz.

The church that is nearby is beautiful inside. However, the bells ring way too often!

this is a pleasant apartment style accommodation in near proximity to the old town centre.The rooms are fresh and colourful. The reception has strict limited opening hours which could be inconvenient. The charge for wifi access is stiff.

Déçu par la propreté de la résidence, ainsi que la qualité de l’accueil. Je déconseille cette résidence dont les équipements sont par ailleurs anciens. Propreté de la chambre très discutable ( cheveux dans la salle de bains, poussière lit, etc.), dans un contexte COVID ou l’on aurait pu imaginer que tout soit parfait en termes de propreté. Je ne reviendrai plus dans cette résidence.

We have stayed in several hotels on this trip and all were modern decor, not by plan. Hotel de la Poste is a charming older hotel with beamed ceilings and wooden staircases. Rooms were clean and up to date.

Very deficient internet, two plastic cups in bathroom instead of glass, limited breakfast buffet. Staff friendly and pleasant, room and reception simple but clean.
