I would recommend:
1. Contact the owner beforeahead to know how to get the key and everything. My battery died and I had to ask strangers to help me to find the place.
2. Inform the owner beforeahead if you can not stand for the strong odor of airfreshner.
3. It would be great to have a sheet on the blanket.

Good price for the location, the owner was friendly and the apartment was clean.

It was a shared apartment and it's not said in the description unless you speak french. In one of the rooms was a curtain instead of a door.

We had two separate rooms (bedroom and living room). The owner slept in other bedroom and we didn't meet. We were staying only for one night for sleep, overall was good. Well heated.

There were no bedsheets only blankets, everything else was good.

The room is comfortable. Clean and very comfortable bed. The apartment is very clean. The host allowed me to use the kitchen which is fully kitted, clean and tidy.
The host is very helpful. He got up at 4.30am to wish me a safe trip before I leave to catch a very early flight.

The host was amazing! He took care of us since we arrived till we left. He came down to collect us, indicated how to reach Basel, he ordered a taxi for us when we left and even he came with us to the street to wait for the taxi. Very worried for our comfort at all times and the apartment was clean and lovely. Well connected to Basel and airport

Since our plan was to explore Basel for one day, we used this accommodation to be close to Basel and pay like in France, if you know what I mean 🙂

2 stops away (tram 3) from the train station, easy to find especially due to the communicative host Howard; we shared with him the apartment but we didn't really feel his presence thanks to his complete discretion.

As 4 adults, we had a bedroom (for 2) and the living room, exactly as you can see on Booking. Our stay was excellent: good strong Wi-Fi, everything you could need in the kitchen, separate toilet from the bathroom, clean rooms/facilities.

Nothing major, maybe just a little cold at night (but just for the women, not for us men) but, honestly, we are the ones who refused the heating device offered

Nice apartment, friendly host. I think we made the same mistake as other travellers – we missed the word "partager" in the description, which means that this is shared accomodation with the host – he stays in his room and does not disturb you at all. He was very friendly and extremely helpful. Good place to stay overnight.

The host was really kind, the communication with him was fast and easy, you could see that he cares about the guests. Although he lived with us in the same apartment, we had our own key, and his presence was hardly noticeable (actually only when we needed something or when he offered us additional blankets :)). The place was clean and all the facilities were available. Also the location is really nice – there is a direct connection to the Basel city centre and it's close to the airport.

Its quite cozy, you share the bathroom and kitchen with other travellers and there is coffee, plenty of things to use in the kitchen. The room you sleep in is quite basic, but def enough and considering the price, you cant complain (the bed was surprisingly comfortable, I have a neck injury so this is def a big plus).
There are 2 bathrooms, basicly you wont be bothered that way to even cross other people and keep your privacy.

The walls are a bit thin, so if someone snores, you hear it. Still not a big problem though.

Aucun renseignement sur la manière d'obtenir les clés. 1 heure passée devant l'immeuble après 8 heures de routes. Numéro d'appel du propriétaire plus disponible. Obligé de passer par numéro de secours de Booking. Ensuite pour avoir les clés c'était la galère. Digicode placé dans une boîte aux lettres au nom de Morales et pas nice room. Chiffres Presque pas accessible. Une véritable honte pour le secteur. Je déconseille vivement. 3 lits super inconfortable. Bref la pire location de toute ma vie.

Super appartement à partager à 10 mn à pied de Bâle. Chambre spacieuse, cuisine fonctionnelle, salle de bains nickel. Bon séjour pour nous !

Nach der Buchung um 20:00 habe ich versucht, die GastgeberInnen zu erreichen (2 hinterlegte Telefonnummern, ohne Erfolg). Die Adresse der Unterkunft war nicht vollständig (kein Name angegeben) und so konnte mir niemand die Tür öffnen. Es folgte eine sehr gefährliche Fahrt mit dem Motorrad bei Nacht, um eine andere Unterkunft zu finden. Einige Tage später war es endlich möglich, Kontakt aufzunehmen, wo mir bestätigt wurde, dass das Geld zurückerstattet werden würde. Ich warte bis heute darauf.

De locatie, de vriendelijkheid van de eigenaars.

De wc kon alleen worden doorgespoeld door een kraantje open te draaien welke direct op de toiletpot aangesloten zat. Hier zat te weinig druk achter waardoor een 'grote boodschap' niet werd doorgespoeld. Ook was er geen wc papier aanwezig.

Owner Mr Schmitt is extremely helpful and responsive. Stayed 4 nights and had a great stay. While some of the furnitures were dated, they were working extremely well. Recommended for the price point and proximity when visiting Switzerland. Merci Mr Schmitt!!

Right next to the border so you can save a lot of money and just take the tram on the other side. Facilities are basic, but that’s all you need if you’re on a budget. Good options to eat next door, a lovely boulangerie over the road for breakfast and a supermarket down the road as well as other restaurants in Saint-Louis.

Wir haben eine Nacht auf dem Weg in den Süden übernachtet, der Kontakt war sehr nett und zuvorkommend, das Zimmer sauber und die Lage genau an einem städtischen Grenzübergang zu Basel sehr günstig. Es gibt zwar kein Frühstück, eine Bäckerei mit Kaffee und wunderbarer französischer Patisserie liegt jedoch auf der anderen Seite der Straße. Gerne jederzeit wieder!

"Ibis Aeroport Hotel

This hotel is NOT near the airport and we couldnt find the free shuttle bus from airport to hotel and used a taxi service which cost us €34.10 for a 10 minute journey, not impressed about this although hotel did say they would refund this if we had a receipt, which of course the driver didnt give us. We had a meal in the hotel which was just OK lots of restaurants nearby though none were open on our date of stay. Breakfast was included and as we had an early start asked could we have a take away and we were told by reception there was nothing to put it in to to take away!!!! Room was typical Ibis standard and we did receive the free shuttle bus service on our return to airport but if back in Basel again would maybe choose another hotel

Modern, clean, comfortable apartment in central St Louis. Supermarkets and other shops nearby, as well as close to Swiss border and Basel. Free parking. Easy, quick communication with owner. Definitely I would stay here again when in St Louis/Basel area. Great value for money.

The host who was very accommodating. We liked the transport links, bus stop outside flat and train station nearby. The bed was super comfy.

Just one thing, the bathroom is very nice, however, by having a washing machine behind the door it makes access difficult and there is little space to move about and use the basin.

The owners sent a detailed plan on how to find the keys. Only the photos were old (now the house is under reconstruction and looks uninhabited)

Very well appointed apartment which exactly suited our requirements. The location being very adjacent to the railway station is a big plus.

"Disappointing

This would have been perfect if our flight the following day wasn't at 6am, there is no public transport before 6am. And a 50min walk to the airport.

We couldn't book a taxi for the following morning, we rung 4 different companies and we struggled with the language barrier. One company just said no English and hung up on us with the others saying sorry no English. We managed to get hold of the host to see if they could book a taxi for us but after time passed we decided it was better to just walk 800m down the road and stay in the hotel with a free airport shuttle.
Also the room stunk of cigarette smoke.
